As a wedding designer, I’m often asked what is that I do. I’m not the florist, I’m not the calligrapher, I didn’t bake the cake. For us stylists, designing is about spending countless hours choosing the right fabrics, the right colors, the perfect plate, the ideal chandelier. Fussing over placement of a candle, or table layout. It’s about dreaming up a concept and sourcing all the pieces necessary to make it reality. It’s about working with extremely talented vendors who add layers to your vision, bringing it life in ways more beautiful than either of you could have ever imagined. I am so grateful to have had so many incredible clients in 2016 who believed in my ideas, and amazing vendors to help execute them. A heartfelt thank you to all my amazing clients, including Kim of @fluttermag whose wedding reception pictured here gave me the opportunity to create beauty alongside some of our industries finest. #3 For the minimalists at heart, this Viktor & Rolf number has a strong architectural silhouette that is softened by the sprinkling of flower appliques cascading down the skirt.

#4 Letterpress flowers are elegant. But this rice paper belly band with real dried petals offers an artisanal touch that’s a winner.

#5 Flower arches never really go out of style. Instead of a single hue, opt for different shades of the same colour for more visual interest.

#6 What’s trending right now: Trailing vines that lend wild beauty.
