Design items, children’s books and gallery publications can be bought too. Prices start at $5 for a cup of coffee and mains such as pastas are priced between $8 and $15. 10am-7pm (Sunday to Thursday), 10am-10pm (Friday and Saturday)
#2: Alti’s Gastrobar
#01-02 Supreme Court Wing
A stylish all-day gastrobar that serves small bites and drinks. Expect specially designed Asian- inspired fruit cocktails. There are select meals and food items at $10 and below. Opening in the middle of December. 10am to midnight (Sunday to Thursday), 10am to 1am (Friday and Saturday)

#3: Aura Restaurant & Sky Lounge

Aura by ilLido is made up of a 3,000 sq ft classic Italian restaurant and a 6,000 sq ft rooftop terrace with stunning city views. On the terrace, cocktails start at $16 and bar grub includes oyster sliders at $18. For lunch on weekdays, the buffet bar ($18 a person) serves at least 15 types of Mediterranean- style meat-based salads. This high-end modern French restaurant seats 48 in an intimate setting, with a private room for up to 12. It uses artisanal produce, such as pigeon from Plouneour Menez in Brittany. Prices start at $78 for a three-course lunch. 12pm-2pm, 7pm-9.30pm (Monday to Saturday)

#5: National Kitchen by Violet Oon

Singapore culinary doyenne Violet Oon’s eatery is a celebration of local flavours, reflecting Singapore’s culinary heritage. Offerings include Hakka abacus beads, thosai and idly with house-made chutneys. Prices start from $15 for a Singapore sampler for lunch. 11am-11pm daily, info@violetoon.com
#6: Saha Signature Restaurant & Bar
#01-03 Supreme Court Wing
To open early next month, this restaurant helmed by award- winning chef Abhijit Saha from India is moving from Duxton Hill to a 4,200 sq ft space in the Gallery, which will seat 60 to 70. It will serve his signature dishes, such as Kerala vegetable stew espuma, North Indian favourite Daal Makhani (black lentil stew, $24). #7: Yan

This fine-dining, 154-seat Cantonese restaurant is managed by the Park Hotel Group and is its first Cantonese eatery not located in a hotel. #8: Smoke & Mirrors

Enjoy views of the Padang and Marina Bay at this bar. Bar bites include Cantonese-style roast pork belly ($16).
