Tippling Club’s Once Upon A Time In Cuba

Cuba has risen steadily through the ranks as one of the hottest – and hippest – travel destinations to check out. Even Chanel’s Cruise ’17 show was held there last May. So when we came across fine dining establishment’s one-day-only Cuban cocktail event, we only had two words to say: Spot on.

Taking place on Thursday, January 19 at Tippling Club’s private second floor space Bin 38, bartender Jonathan Lee will be rolling out five Cuban-inspired, rum-based pairing cocktails and canapes ($155++) in an exclusive and intimate setting. Here, you’ll be amongst the first guests to try a cocktail named Vida Rica – a mix of Bacardi eight-year-old rum, lemon, egg yolk, orange flower water and salted caramel – which is a finalist at the upcoming Singapore Bacardi Legacy finals. Oxwell & Co’s Dry Ginuary

New in at the Ann Siang Hill establishment with a cosy rooftop bar: Over 24 gins, tonics and botanical herbs and the chance to customise your very own G&T. Apart from familiar gin brands like Beefeater and Hendrick’s, you’ll find more obscure ones like Mombasa Club (a spicy-sweet gin originally reserved for members of a Kenyan private club of the same name) and Dodd’s (a small-batch gin produced in London using organic botanical ingredients like juniper and lime).

The fun doesn’t just stop there: You’ll get to choose your own garnishes, which include herbs from the bar’s own garden, too.
