Local lifestyle store Naiise will host its first-ever I Eat Design Festival this weekend at its Cathay flagship store (#B1-08). But don’t mistake it as an event that’s just for foodies to munch and mingle at; it’s also meant to serve as a platform for artists and designers to showcase their latest innovations. We break down what’s on the agenda for the coming weekend:
#1: Instagram-worthy edibles
Get to sample delectable creations from more than 10 local food vendors who will set up shop within the store. Highlights include salted egg chocolate truffles from Demochoco and mocktails by tea company The 1972 Clipper Tea Co. and candy manufacturer Jewels By Cheng.
#2: A food photography exhibition
A quirky take on bite-sized offerings by local blogger Food on Fork, these pastel-hued prints featuring food from eight vendors will be up for display throughout the festival.
#3: Hands-on workshops
Learn the fine art of wine and soju appreciation, make your own granola parfait or create sweet treats like sorbets throughout the festival period. See the full list of workshops and buy tickets here.
