Located in the heart of Singapore’s bustling Central Business District (CBD) area, this newly opened boutique yoga studio is your next go-to weekly wellness retreat. At 39 floors high, The Yoga School is a serene haven set against a picturesque backdrop of Singapore’s city skyline. With an emphasis on small, intimate class sizes (capped at 20 students per class) taught by internationally accredited yoga teachers, the studio aims to elevate the level of yoga available in Singapore and the region, while at the same time creating a space that is beneficial and easily accessible.
Intimate classes allow participants to have more space to explore various poses, sequences, and a greater range of movement. It also ensures that every student receives the proper attention and guidance so that minimal injuries will occur – talk about getting your money’s worth.
Designed for a well-balanced curriculum, there are over 20 classes offered weekly that cater to different aspects of the yoga practice. If you’re down to achieve inner peace, Meditation classes are available or opt for something more vigorous by doing cardio with Flow classes. There’s definitely something suited for everyone.
Besides classes and workshops, the studio also actively organises different community initiatives and events such as its upcoming partnership with Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) and Singapore Breast Cancer Foundation that all help make positive changes within the community. The Yoga School believes that yoga should place importance on different pillars for the ultimate nourishment of the mind, body and spirit.
Another reason why this yoga studio gets our vote? It’s beautifully designed space. The sanctuary is decked out in a neutral colour palette of white, beige and browns, complemented with chic, hand-sourced furniture for a sophisticated appeal. A wooden lattice separates the actual space where yoga is practised to the lounge room where students can unwind and relax before and after classes.
The main space features floor-length windows allowing natural light to freshen up the studio, and it also overlooks a sweeping panorama of the city featuring the city’s most iconic landmarks such as the Marina Bay Sands and Esplanade. The facilities too have been thoughtfully curated, with the studio offering fluffy towels by local luxury brand Ploh and customised toiletries by Aromatherapy Associates for a nice relaxing bath post-yoga.
Each class is priced at $38 and $360 for 10 classes. For more information, visit www.yogaschool.asia.
