For Banana Republic Fall Winter 2015, creative director Marissa Webb keeps to her signature brand of boyish charm which she first introduced last season (Female celebrated the launch of Webb’s debut collection for the US label in May). In an earlier interview, Webb tells us: “I like incorporating menswear with soft, feminine touches, and I love playing with proportions and textures.”
Here, five of our favourite pieces that will lend an androgynous appeal to any outfit:
#1: Heeled brogues
Easy to mix and match, and can be worn with anything from boyfriend jeans to flouncy skirts.
#2: Oversized sweaters
So good to snuggle up in. Plus, oxblood is the hottest colour to be seen in this season.
#3: A slouchy blazer and miniskirt combo
For a more dressy take that’s still work-appropiate.
#4: Camouflage print bags
The print is new in at Banana Republic this season, and their take injects a youthful appeal with a bright yellow swathe right down the middle of the tote.
#5: Cable knit sweaters
Also hot on the runways this season: The cable knit sweater, good for layering over shirts or under large coats.
