Fashion is known for its ever-changing (and evolving) trends, but #throwbacks to the ’90s have had a strong resurgence in the past few seasons. From fanny packs to cycling shorts and of course, the logo tee (better yet if it’s cropped and in a “baby” fit), we look at their revival and well, staying power for the season of Spring/Summer ’19.
Almost everyone who’s in the know bought into the fanny pack trend last season, and the “uncle” — but oh-so-convenient — accessory is still holding strong in the S/S ’19 collections. Chanel, Givenchy and Alexander Wang continue to devote their time to upgrading this hold-all, so you gotta ask, who needs a clutch when you can have a stylish bum bag to keep your hands free?

Any belt bag can be fashioned into a crossbody bag, or slung by the waist strap. But this is one evencomes with a top handle — setting it apart from the rest.
Logomania in the ’90s was a sartorial response to America’s economic boom, where donning clothing with flashy logos was a show of affluence with a cool cachet.

The laminated effect on the Kappa logo calls for a pared-back get-up. We say jeans and sneakers.
As part of Alexander Wang’s ongoing collaboration with Addias where the designer adds his disruptive touch to the sporting giant’s signatures, note the trefoil logo on this tee that’s unlike your usual Three Stripes fare.
Prince of Wales, tartan, gingham or tattersall are a simple way to look put together and make a tatement, but we have something else in mind other than mini skirts a la Alicia Silverstone in Clueless.
Cut from a soft cady material, this Ganni suit is made for days where you don’t have time to mentally put together an outfit. Throw on a leather crossbody and you’re good to go.

The peak lapel. The long jacket hem. The colour. What’s not to love? You can wear these pieces separately too.
Gym wear as casual wear is totally okay these days — but, depending how you wear ’em. Brands like Fendi, Mugler and Prada put an interesting spin on the athleisure trend by reintroducing the oh-so-popular ’90s cycling shorts for Spring/Summer 2019 outings. Bid au revoir to sports leggings, because bike shorts are the new athleisure staple. How to take your cycling shorts out of spin class, here.
