You Can Now Shop Some Of Alexander McQueen's Iconic Archive Pieces Online

In celebration of the iconic British fashion designer, the online luxury reseller Vestiaire Collective launches its Alexander McQueen archival sale today.

If you’ve been paying attention to what’s been going on on the runways this season, chances are you’re aware that vintage is in. While we’re all for pre-loved luxury items – we’re talking one level up. Think: iconic archival pieces that have played a role in shaping fashion and pop culture as we know it today. And while Versace’s Spring/Summer 2020 J.Lo moment spurred a viral social media moment, it’s also brought to light a newfound appreciation for longevity, timelessness and history amongst fashion followers.

Honouring British designer Alexander McQueen’s extensive archive ten years on from his death is pre-owned luxury goods reseller Vestiaire Collective. Collaborating with Love Magazine editor Harriet Verney (niece of iconic fashion editor and long-time friend of McQueen’s, Isabella Blow) Vestiaire Collective will be selling a specially curated selection of his pieces. One can expect highlights such as The Tiger Dress – which was worn by British model Stella Tennant in McQueen’s ’96 show and of which there were only two pieces ever made – as well a pair of low-rise bumper trousers worn by none other than Madonna herself.

Below, browse the avant garde vintage edit of the year – in our humble opinion – that will have you owning a piece of history (if you decide to splurge big, of course).
