“The undulating curves of the venue, Pierre Cardin’s Palais Bulles (or Bubble Palace) right outside of Cannes, made for beautiful architecture, but also made it unfriendly for heels – especially in the backstage area. My hero: Chinese model Yuan Bo Chao (above), who saw me tottering down one of the slopes and literally lent a hand so I wouldn’t trip. Now that’s a super model.”
