Bras Are The New Tops: Here's How To Pull Them Off In Style (And With Modesty)

Rock-hard abs not included.

The fitness trend has done wonders for the modern girl. Athleisure is acceptable at drinks post-gym, and sneakers are given the green light in many a corporate setting. Now, the bra top — the trend du jour.

The look harks back to the good ol’ ’90s when baby Ts and shrunken camis were all the rage. Today, celebrities and fashion personalities like Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid and cool twin DJs Simi and Haze have galvanised its homecoming. Pairings we’ve seen include the bra top under a suit jacket (our favourite), with high-waisted skirts and, straight-cut trousers. On the runway? Amongst other designers like Alexander Wang, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s saccharine rendition with the ‘J’adior’ straps for Dior were lensed to death once they hit the streets.

Above, ten bra tops we can get behind and below, some street style inspo.

Like Bella Hadid, pair yours with a cropped leather jacket to add structure and texture to the tiny top.

Here, one-half of Simi and Haze goes boyish with an oversized blazer and loose-fit plaid trousers — a retro yet insouciant take on the bra top trend.
