Spanning three themes — refined, relaxed and evening — Riccardo Tisci’s debut collection for Burberry is meant for women of every age, culture and lifestyle. And he’s captured that made-for-all elegance in a single bag.

Its logo clasp bearing the initials of brand founder Thomas Burberry says it all: the “T” in sans serif and the “B” in serif — the meeting of the modern and the classic. But that’s not the only reason why Burberry’s TB bag is likely to appeal to a wide range of women. With spare, structured lines that curve around the corners, it’s a sophisticated flap bag made pragmatic with multiple compartments. It’s available as a shoulder bag, belt bag or envelope clutch, which means that it covers both the formal and casual, while the 32 colourways only add to the variety. Come May, expect new finishes such as canvas and an arty leather monogram, which might sound more trendy than timeless — but, hey, there’s always going to be someone who digs that.

Available at Burberry boutiques.
