Being matchy matchy has become somewhat of a faux pas in recent years but the upcoming fall season has seen designers sending out looks decked head to toe in the same colour family. We’ve shown you the best shopping buys to get with the program – now check out the celebrities who are doing the look:

#1: Zoe Saldana

Star of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Zoe Saldana is kicking off her promo tour of the movie and her stylist, Petra Flannery, chose to go with a red hot look from Givenchy’s Fall 2017 collection.

While it may appear orange in the photo, the actual outfit is actually red – the Givenchy creative team chose to pay homage to former creative director Riccardo Tisci with a selection of 27 looks that best represented Tisci’s 12-year tenure at the house.

The catch? Every single outfit came in red – the colour of the season – though when it actually hits stores later this year, there will be reportedly more options, colour-wise.

#2: Olivia Palermo

Palermo is a socialite and fixture on the New York fashion scene who is well-known for her sense of style and love of accessorising. While she appears to have toned down her image these days, Palermo still looked chic in a grey Chloe Fall 2015 checkered suit, paired nicely with a taupe Chloe bag and a charcoal gray twilly scarf.

A part of me wishes that she’d retained the belt from the runway look but nevertheless it’s still a lovely look that channeled Annie Hall in part.

#3: Selena Gomez

Yet another smashing example of how Selena Gomez is really stepping up her style game these days, she attended the premiere of her new Netflix show 13 Reasons Why in an orange Oscar de la Renta Fall 2017 cocktail number.

Gomez and her stylist really took matching to the next level with this super fun outfit – while I’m still not sure about those peachy Giuseppe Zanotti mules, I’m loving the ombre Rebecca De Ravenel drop earrings – which are apparently sold out already. Duh.

What really sealed the deal though, was the beauty look that matched the outfit perfectly with orange eyeshadow and blusher. It might sound like there’s a lot going on in one outfit but all in all, it worked surprisingly well.

#4: Cara Delevingne

Model/actress Cara Delevingne is already prepping ahead of her newest movie – Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets (which also stars Rihanna, FYI).

Reportedly the most expensive French film ever made thus far, it is directed by Luc Besson – you may be familiar with his classics such as The Fifth Element and more recently, Lucy. With that patent leather skirt and a sharp platinum blond bob, Delevingne convincingly alluded to the futuristic theme of the movie.

#5: Kate Middleton

While Zoe Saldana and Cara Delevingne may have gone for the brighter end of the red spectrum, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton opted for a more demure burgundy and her accessories accordingly reflected that.

Of course, the Duchess is restricted by more conservative dress codes and she is not an actress nor model but within those confines, I think she does ladylike looks exceedingly well – though I do still wish she would take more risks with her choices.

#6: Kendall Jenner

Jenner may currently be keeping a low profile due to that controversy-plagued Pepsi commercial but she was definitely on point with this outfit – a saffron yellow Gucci camisole that was perfectly paired with loose drawstring pants from her own line and finished off with a clutch in the same colour family.
