Comme Des Garcons Play x Converse Sneakers Are In Stores Now

The cult Japanese label, which opened a pop-up store at Ion Orchard last year, has just launched a range of covetable sneakers.

There may already be two existing stores in Como House and Hilton Hotel, but who can say no to a third one? Multi-label luxury retailer Club21 opened a pop-up store stocking Comme des Garcons PLAY items in Ion Orchard (#03-21) in August 2016, so getting your Comme fix is that much easier.

On the shelves: The range’s signature Deformed Hearts t-shirts (prices start from $80), long-sleeved striped tops, sneakers and high-top versions and other small leather goods for both men and women.

Last December, the brand launched another equally desirable collection titled Holiday Emojis at the Como Pocket store (Level 1 Como House), featuring colourful graphic renditions of the brand’s signature heart-shaped motif on plain white t-shirts.

Apart from tees, which are available in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes, there are also hoodies, heart-shaped pins and vinyl-covered paper totes up for grabs.

If you missed your chance to grab those tees last year, here’s something else you’ll want to get your hands on. This February, Comme Des Garcons Play has teamed up with iconic American sneaker brand Converse to launch a monochromatic range of Chuck All Star ’70s with a playful polka dot print.

The range is available in two styles – a low-cut ($190) and a high-cut ($200) – and comes with 100 per cent cotton uppers. Score a pair now at its Pocket store (Level 1 Como House), Hilton Hotel boutique (#02-39/40) and online at Dover Street Market Singapore’s e-shop.
