diner en blanc singapore registration

Diner en Blanc Singapore returns for the fourth year running on Saturday, Nov 21 (it was previously slated for October but had to be pushed back due to the haze). This year’s theme – SG50 – has been revealed, with three menus (aptly named after notable Singapore locations like the Istana, Botanic Gardens and City Hall) available to choose from. And while the actual location, in keeping with tradition, has not been unveiled, the rules in previous years are the same: Guests have to bring their own table, two white chairs, a white tablecloth, a picnic basket, and come dressed in (what else) white.

If you’re in need of #OOTD inspiration, here are stylish and sophisticated outfits you can pull off effortlessly:

The billowy dress

What we dub the BWD (big white dress) is your go-to piece if you’re gunning for an easy, breezy, look. Plus, Diner en Blanc events have always been held outdoors, so an airy, loose-fitting piece will be a safe bet. All you need to add: chic, minimalist necklaces, bangles and rings from local jewellery e-tailer Jemsa.

The edgy look

From a bustier tube top paired with wide-legged pants at Stella McCartney to a belted full-length dress at Mango and a fringed one at Roberto Cavalli, the look here is all about edgy sophistication. Match this to Instagram-worthy bags like Chanel’s Plexiglas clutch fashioned in the shape of dinner plates and you’re all set.

These above-the-knee dresses are playful and flirty, but most of all, are very versatile. Amp up feminine appeal with these pretty hair pins and barettes from Louis Vuitton, Prada and more, or add a skinny neck scarf and bandana like It girls Margaret Zhang and Soo Joo Park to give your look an unexpected (and chic) twist.

Registration for phase 3 of Diner en Blanc opens tomorrow, Nov 3. Add yourselves to the waiting list now for a chance to secure a spot at $50 per person, with an optional top-up of $12 to become a member.
