dior cruise 2023 seville

Maria Grazia Chiuri has always looked to Europe’s cultural hotspots for inspiration and to stage her transeasonal collections. Past venues have included the historic city of Lecce in southern Italy for the Cruise 2021 show and the ancient Panathenaic Stadium in Athens as the venue for its ethereal Cruise 2022 show titled Erratum.

For Cruise 2023, Chiuri has set her sights on another major European city: Seville in Spain’s southern Andalusia region which is also known as the birthplace of flamenco. Naturally, that highly expressive dance form is bound to have a major influence on the collection, judging from the prints of flamenco pioneer Carmen Amaya that Dior been sharing on its Instagram.

To see how Sevillan culture and art manifest on the runway, be sure to set your timer for the show which will kick off on June 17 at 4:15am Singapore time.
