The name Cecilie Bahnsen has been synonymous with girlish romance since the 2015 inception of her eponymous label. The Danish designer’s knack for easy-to-wear dresses imbued with a sense of whimsy — thanks to her now signature pretty embellishments on diaphanous fabrics, and generously cut silhouettes — courted her the title of 2017 LVMH Prize finalist, as well as the stamp of approval from Dover Street Market (DSM), one of the most notable cradles of promising young labels.
In this release, Bahnsen lends Japanese shoe brand Suicoke (best known for its stylish outdoorsy sandals and contemporarily, collaborations with Palm Angels and Tyler, The Creator) a feminine edge with multi-coloured beading across its straps in three colourways.

Female sneakerheads know all too well that it is still a tall order to cop one’s desired sneaker models down to the colourway — simply because not all releases cater to women, size-wise. Naked Copenhagen, a multi-label retailer that prides itself in “supplying girls with sneakers” by being a one-stop shop for buzzy drops like Nike’s Air Max 720, P-6000 and Air Max Deluxe, has joined forces with Adidas Consortium for an all-new model. The Magmur Runner riffs off the still trending hefty silhouette, and comes in a white and cream colourway.

Fun fact: Before Affix launched its branding-led “merch” and directional workwear-inspired garments (its proposition: the new utility), it was first a programme on pirate radio station Know Wave. Yes, the Know Wave that’s probably better known in the mainstream as a purveyor of graphic tees, sweatshirts and ball caps at DSM. Affix counts Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov — whose eponymous label needs no introduction, and has earned him the post of creative director at heritage outerwear company Mackintosh — as founder, alongside Taro Ray (Mackintosh’s head designer), stylist and creative consultant Stephan Mann, and Michael Kopelman who has done work for Stussy.

Remember when Gosha Rubchinskiy announced the upheaval of his eponymous label last year? And no, it wasn’t in response to — and predates — the Internet catching wind that he’d allegedly requested nudes from a minor. Like the brand’s name suggests, its first drop is a showing of uniform archetypes, such as army overalls, workwear jackets and blue collar-style shirts. For the curious, Rubchinskiy has done an Hedi with the @gosharubchinskiy Instagram handle, wiped to display only GR-Uniforma updates that directs traffic over to @gr_uniforma.
