#1: Chanel

shoes

For a walk through nature, Karl Lagerfeld balanced practicality with style – by having models traipse through fallen leaves at Chanel in sparkly, flat boots.

shoes

The boots came in all heights – knee-high, calf-length or ankle, in a variety of shiny metallic shades including rose gold, gold and silver. Whether worn with dresses, skirts or pants, these boots will surely look ultra chic.

#2: Christian Dior

shoes

Boots are all the rage this season (and rightly so, it being Fall/Winter anyway). For something a little more subdued compared to Chanel’s offerings, there are the slightly equestrian-inspired boots shown at Christian Dior.

shoes

These boots also came in a range of heights, some flat while others with contrasting, heeled soles. What we love about them, though, is the uniform single buckle and red and white stripe that helped lend a kind of sophisticated sportiness to the overall looks.

#3: Fendi

shoes

For something a little more modern, look no further than Fendi, who put an interesting spin on the classic Western boots. Whether tall or short, each boot featured a geometrically-cut heel.

These boots also came in all sorts of different colours and textures, from classic black to baby pink to bold red, in materials like glossy leather and suede. Our favourite, however, might be the checkered. knee-high version (which would look so good paired with a head to toe plaid look).

#4: Kristina Fidelskaya

shoes

No, we are not quite done with boots yet. Over at Dubai-based, contemporary label Kristina Fidelskaya,  models stomped down the runway in futuristic-looking boots in black and white, all with a single zipper stretching down the whole length of the shoe. We imagine that these would look terrific with clean-cut skirt suits.

#5: Marni

shoes

At Marni, designer Francesco Risso played with the concept of technology vis a vis nature by combining and repurposing different fabrics in an innovative way. One of the most prominent examples of this is the slew of heeled, open-toe Mary Janes that was sent down the runway.

shoes

Presented in all sorts of bright, eye-catching colours such as shiny Yves Klein-blue, these pumps give off an effortless retro-meets-contemporary vibe. Our favourite pair has to be the seemingly wood and pink one that features obvious stitching.

#6: Neith Nyer

shoes

Helmed by Brazilian designer Francisco Terra, Neith Nyers has given us the ultimate party shoe for next season. With a square toe, low kitten heel and three ruched bands (quite reminiscent of the beloved scrunchies of yesteryear), these pumps promise to be comfortable without sacrificing style.

shoesChoose from classic all-black, or if you’re feeling up to it, brighter shades such as orange, pink or a combination of them – the more the merrier, right?

#7: Paul & Joe

shoes

We are dying over these elevated, platform loafers from Paul & Joe. French designer Sophie Mechaly’s collection was filled with flirty, vintage-inspired pieces – think floor-length floral print dresses and timeless pea coats – and these shoes fit right in. We can’t wait to rock them with fitted pants and skirts for that English school-girl look.

#8: Poiret

shoes

Another addition to the geometric heel series is the set of pumps spotted on the Poiret runway. The historic fashion house finally received a revival after a long 90-year hiatus, with a fashion show held in Paris for the F/W’18 season. Heading the label is China-born, Paris based designer Yiqing Yin, and her debut collection – following the heritage of the brand – is novel and opulent.

shoes

Whether it’s strappy sandal, open-toe mule or pointed-toe slingback in black or gold, we want them all.

#9: Prada

shoes

And here, we present what might be the most practical footwear in this whole list. Paired with nylon drawstring leg coverings that were worn with anything and everything (we’re talking dresses, coats, skirts, the works), Prada adorned models with these thick-soled, rubber boots that would be very welcome on our rain-prone island.

#10: Versace

shoes

The ugly sneaker trend has been around for so long, we are just going to assume it is a permanent fixture now. There were many variations of such shoes on the F/W’18 runways, but one of our favourites must be the iterations at Versace. Whether in bold contrasting shades like red and blue, or colourful prints, these thick-soled, bouncy sneakers will surely turn heads.

shoes

Besides the sneakers, however, we have to mention this pair of stunning, multi-coloured fringe boots that will surely be on the legs of street style stars everywhere come next season.
