Diehard Stranger Things fan rejoice: In preparation for season three of the series, you’ll have a range of items to choose from. We’ve got a round-up of three brands that have come up with exclusive capsule collections in conjunction with the show’s Netflix launch on July 4.
Nike x Stranger Things
Probably our favourite Dover Street Market drop yet, the first release of the Nike x Stranger Things capsule collection on June 27 is a play on Hawkins High’s school colours – hints of green and orange on a white base. The collection features hoodies, T-shirts and sneakers. Drawing inspiration from ’80s sports culture and nostalgia, the selection from the first capsule includes a green and white variation of the classic Nike cortez as well as the Tailwind and Blazer. The second release, which drops on July 1, is a commemoration of Independence Day and features the same footwear and merchandise in red, blue and white instead.
H&M x Stranger Things
The H&M x Stranger Things capsule focuses on the Hawkins’ community pool. The collection, which dropped on June 12, carries over strong themes from the show, including a striking continuity of the colours black, red and white. If you’ve been looking for retro-inspired swimwear, this collection certainly is nothing short of an homage to the ’80s. You can expect graphic T-shirts, shorts, towels and tank tops. Major fans will be pleased to know that some of these pieces will feature in Stranger Things 3 – so keep a lookout.
Havaianas x Stranger Things
Ultimately inspired by the alternate dimension that is the “Upside Down”, Havaianas’ Stranger Things capsule collection comes in two colourways – blue and white and a darker combination of black, red, white and blue. Unlike the first two capsule collections, this isn’t inspired by ’80s Hawkins. Instead, Havaianas draws inspiration from its birthplace, ’80s Brazil. You can expect thicker straps and soles from the classic Havaianas and of course, a whole lot of fun animation.
