Here's What To Cop From Gucci's Christmas Collection

Alessandro Michele welcomes you onboard an extravagant cruise with Gucci's Christmas collection.

Alessandro Michele’s vivid imagination knows no boundaries. As Gucci’s head honcho, he has dreamt up fantastical dreamscapes and based entire collections on them. An example of his madcap ingenuity? During the Fall/Winter 2018 show, Michele had models walk the runway holding baby dragons and human heads in their hands. It was a striking statement that sparked viral memes on Instagram.

For the Christmas season, Michele’s unorthodox approach to fashion is in full effect once more. In the usual place of snow capped peaks and roaring fireplaces, Michele conjured images of a sundrenched getaway aboard a cruise liner. His whimsical thoughts naturally filtered down to a special collection that is now available in stores. Michele remixed two of Gucci’s most recognisable iconographies as leitmotif for the festive range: The interlocking double-G web monogram, plus its vibrant Flora print. The result is a vividly coloured assortment of ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear you’ll want to wear on your next holiday.
