1. Dee Hsu as Snow White
Follow Hsu’s cue and go as the beautiful and innocent Snow White, but make your look contemporary by going with a blue printed crop top and a ruffle midi skirt. Add a touch of party glam with sequin shoes and a bejewelled clutch. Finish the look off with a red bow, because you’re not Snow White without that classic accessory.

2. Red Velvet’s Irene as Holly Golightly
Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn and go as her famous character from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, just like Red Velvet’s Irene. To achieve the same air of grace and sophistication, go with a regal looking LBD and dress it up with fancy jewels, preferably in silver. Elegant black gloves are a must. Walk around with a half-eaten croissant to perfect the look.

3. BoA as Super Mario
Be quirky and go as Mario from Super Mario instead, as seen on BoA. This look is pretty simple to recreate — just layer a denim pinafore dress over a red t-shirt and complete the look with a red cap and mushroom earrings. Round it off with a pair of brown booties to give your outfit some depth.
Get the look: Relaxed fit t-shirt by Carcel, £145 (S$258), via Net-a-Porter; Denim pinafore dress by Zara, S$69.90; Crocodile effect leather ankle boots by Nanushka, £350 (S$623), via Net-a-Porter; Leather cap with gold chain trim by Eugenia Kim, US$325 (S$444), via Moda Operandi; Mushroom motif ear studs by Shareliving, S$5.08, via Etsy
4. BLACKPINK’s Lisa as Hello Kitty
BLACKPINK’s Lisa may not have worn this for Halloween, but we could learn a thing or two from this stylish and fun get-up. When it comes to Hello Kitty, there is only one rule — go all out with the pink. Match a pastel pink dress with a striking pair of hot pink heels and top it off with a cute bow. Don a cat ears headband to seal the look.
Get the look: Floral appliqué strapless dress by Miu Miu, US$2,610 (S$3,566), via Matchesfashion; Satin strappy heels by Topshop, S$96.90; Transparent beaded crossbody bag by Zara, S$69.90; Resin hoop earrings by Dinosaur Designs, £205 (S$365), via Net-a-Porter; Pink bow clip from Pickles & Co., S$15.87, via Etsy
5. Dua Lipa as Harry Potter

Dressing up as a witch is an obvious choice. You’d find someone in this classic ensemble of an oversized pointy hat, all black outfit and a broom at almost every Halloween party. Change it up like Dua Lipa by dressing as a wizard instead, specifically, The Boy-Who-Lived. Dress a white shirt with a pair of black pants and lope a scarf that has accents of red around your neck. Knot a red-striped tie and add a pair of round glasses to finish the look. Don’t forget your wand. We’d want to add an invisible cloak to the mix, but that’s just wishful thinking.
Get the look: Japanese cotton shirt by A.P.C., €155 (S$248); Flared cropped vinyl pants by Beaufille, £425 (S$756), via Net-a-Porter; Black velvet loafers by Gucci, S$1,080, via Farfetch; Striped silk tie by Tom Ford, £137.50 (S$245), via Mr Porter; Wool & silk-blend scarf by Givenchy, £250 (S$445), via Net-a-Porter; Round-frame acetate optical glasses by Cartier, £365 (S$649), via Net-a-Porter; Elder Wand, S$19.90, via Shopee

6. Kim Kardashian as Cher
One of Cher’s most amazing looks (and she’s had many) is a midriff-baring, glittery gold outfit that she wore to the 1973 Academy Awards. While nobody can be like Kim Kardashian, who had her costume custom-made, you can still channel similar vibes with a long gold maxi and gold hoop earrings. Make sure you don a wig of long luscious straight hair — you’re not Cher without the iconic ‘do.
Get the look: Gold ruffled lamé maxi dress by Peter Pilotto, £2,195 (S$3,907), via Net-a-Porter; Metallic leather heels by Alaïa, £830 (S$1,477), via Net-a-Porter; Velvet clutch by Mehry Mu, S$399, via Brownsfashion; 14-karat gold-plated hoop earrings by Natasha Schweitzer, £295 (S$525), via Net-a-Porter; 26″ synthetic hair wig by Bellami, US$69.99 (S$96)
7. Lindsay Ellingson as The Black Swan
This is a killer outfit if you want to go for a look that is brooding, sultry and mysterious à la the Black Swan. While model Lindsay Ellingson went with a long-sleeve feathered dress, you might want to tone it down a little with this black mini dress that sports wispy feathers trailing from one shoulder. Pair it with a sexy black pair of stilettos and apply some black lipstick to complete your transformation. But not before you finish the look with a fierce feathered mask.
Get the look: Feather-trimmed silk-georgette mini dress by Magda Butrym, £1,565 (S$2,785), via Net-a-Porter; Patent leather pumps by Saint Laurent, S$1,000; Pearl multi-wrap bracelet by Y/Project, S$453, via Brownsfashion; Satin-matte black lipstick by Kat Von D, S$30, via Sephora; Feathered mask by Aveanart, S$28.20, via Etsy
8. Katy Perry as Hillary Clinton
Nobody can forget the iconic red suit that former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wore during the 2016 Presidential Debates. While we’re not recommending the uncanny make-up and prosthetics Katy Perry had on when she transformed herself into Clinton, you could take a leaf from Perry and wear a vermilion red power suit. Add regal pearl accessories and slip on a silver timepiece for a serious, no-nonsense vibe.
Get the look: Pinstripe double-breasted blazer by C/Meo, S$299, via Farfetch; Pinstripe flared trousers by C/Meo, S$215, via Farfetch; Suede slingback sandals by Jacquemus, £445 (S$791), via Net-a-Porter; Gold-tone pearl necklace by Roxanne Assoulin, US$90 (S$123), via Moda Operandi; Gold-tone pearl hoop earrings my Beck Jewels, US$220 (S$300), via Moda Operandi; “Norse” chain watch by Larsson & Jennings, US$395 (S$539)
9. Halsey as the Bride from Kill Bill

Fans of athleisure should be able to pull off Uma Thurman’s classic look effortlessly. Pull on a tracksuit set that comes in matching yellow hue and top it off with a baker boy cap. Finish the look off with a synthetic wig of long blonde hair. While Halsey had “blood” spatter all over her outfit for dramatic effect, we say lay off the red colouring — or that would be the end of your expensive outfit.
Get the look: Logo printed hoodie by Off-White, S$1,045, via Farfetch; Logo striped track pants by Off-White, S$1,480, via Farfetch; Suede sneakers by Converse, £65 (S$116), via Net-a-Porter; Leather baker boy cap by Ruslan Baginskiy, US$350 (S$478), via Moda Operandi; 26″ synthetic hair wig by Bellami, US$69.99 (S$96)
