With new creative director Nicola Glass putting a whimsical polish on Kate Spade since her first Spring 2019 outing, it’s safe to say that the American brand is back on the radar of fashion insiders — and it’s highly likely that it’s here to stay. Case in point: Glass is offering up this new vision for all to experience here on our shores, by way of a pop-up store at Ion Orchard.

The space, inviting locals to see and touch the S/S ’19 collection up close, follows the ethos of the season’s runway. Think pink and cheery with the spade-shaped space outfitted with transparent pink walls and balloon light fixtures.

But asides from getting up close with the garments, accessories, and leather goods, look out for the debut of a limited edition bag exclusive only to Southeast Asia. In pale gold with detailing achieved via a 3D printed emboss method, Kate Spade is offering personalisation of the Amelia Spade Flower medium shoulder bag ($640) from Mar 15 -16.

The Kate Spade New York pop-up store is located at L1, Ion Orchard. From March 11 till 24.
