Not Heading To Seoul Soon? These K-Fashion Haunts In Singapore Are The Next Best Thing

From delicacies to dramas, music to makeup, and of course fashion, the K-fever doesn’t seem to be subsiding anytime soon.  With the prominence of Seoul Fashion Week’s street style and designer runways, K-fashion and style is too cementing a place for themselves. Naturally, the brick-and-mortars in Singapore retailing Korean labels have been popping up slowly but surely over the last couple of years, and we round up the best spots to check out above.

Ngee Ann City
Located at the third floor, Society A is the go-to store for Asian labels and designs. Of course, Korean brands are not to be missed. Brands like Luveg (classic bag designs), Tibaeg (garments are crafted in soft, flowy and feminine silhouettes) and LIE (if you’re looking for pieces that are quirky) are a few of our picks that shouldn’t be missed. Society A is at #03-14A. Image: Instagram (@societya) 313 Somerset
If you’re looking for an ensemble that’s close to what you see in all those K-dramas, head on over to 313 @ Somerset. Having opened their flagship store in Singapore earlier this year, Korean fast fashion label Twee introduces over 400 styles for both men and women every month. In other words, you’ll see fresh, updated pieces in their stores every week. Once you’re done, we’d recommend you to browse through their beauty section as well. Carrying the entire cosmetics line from K-beauty label, SuperFace, beauty junkies will be in for a treat. Twee is at #03-16 to 21. Image: Instagram (@twee_sg) Orchard Gateway
Orchard Gateway’s Actually carries a newly introduced Korean shoe label, SwitFish. Drawing inspiration from your everyday breakfast cereals, their range of sneakers and sliders are designed with comical motifs that elicits nostalgic memories of your childhood without diminishing the quirky K-style factor. Once you’re done with your shoe haul, head over to Sects Shop at level 4 for clothing. If you’re one who prefers more androgynous pieces, you’re in luck. You’ll be able to find a variety of streetwise items from menswear brands like Youser, Antimatter and Munn. Actually is at #03-18. Sects Shop by Depression is at #04-14. You know where we’re going with this one — while not new, Gentle Monster‘s physical store in Singapore is an absolute must visit. And now, they even have one at Marina Bay Sands too. Tucked away at the corner of Ion Orchard’s ground floor, its discreet location houses cool art installations that truly enhance the shopping experience. Their quirky designs have also nabbed collabs with Alexander Wang and Tilda Swinton.  Gentle Monster is at #01-13. Image: Instagram (@gentlemonster) Bugis Junction
If you’re looking for casual garments, try  H:Connect is for summery tops, comfortable t-shirts, jeans and flowy numbers. Prefer an oversized fit for your tees? They have a range for men as well, so you can cull some pieces from the other section. Bonus? They’re very affordable, which means you won’t feel the pinch at all. H:Connect is at #01-101.
