Since collapsing his diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs and subsuming it into his main line, Marc Jacobs has continued to take his brand to the next level, from introducing Lady Gaga onto the F/W ’16 runway to collaborating with New York-based drag performer Tabboo! in that same collection.
Known for his dark imagery (crows, rats, thorned roses and an evil eye are some of his signature motifs), Tabboo’s hand paintings were translated into prints on silk blouses and skirts. But that’s not all: The imagery also extends to the new Singapore store’s interior at Paragon Shopping Centre (#01-03A), and it’s the only store outside of America that features graffiti-style sketches by the performer.
