If you’re not familiar with Net-A-Porter’s Vanguard platform, it’s the e-commerce giant’s incubator program that is meant to both highlight and provide business mentoring for young, emerging labels. Now in its third season, the Vanguard program is returning with four new ready-to-wear and accessories labels, all of which were scouted through – where else – Instagram.
Sure we love our heritage fashion houses – but we also equally stand behind the thrill of discovering and supporting a new label.

Those who consider themselves minimalists will probably take a shine to this Korean label started by blogger-turned-designer Eunhye Shin. Yes there’s the standard muted colour palette, but we’re also liking the soft draping and overall monastic vibes that should find many fans.
This Italian bag label is easily ID-ed with their distinctive, sculptural resin handles that immediately catch the eye. It’s what we see as the main USP of the label but the vegetable-tanning of the leather also means the bags will develop a nice patina over time.
We might be seeing a lot of this Barcelona-based label come fashion week; the brand’s compact size and hyper-structural silhouettes make for ideal street style bait.
Focusing on unfussy pieces and sharp tailoring, this Swedish label has been hailed in the press as a go-to for Philo-philes but that’s not to distract from its other USP: sustainable luxury design. Bite is an acronym for By Independent Thinkers for Environmental Progress, and we see it as part of a small but growing group of designers who are proving that you can mix good design with green credentials.
