First, we learnt of MSGM launching an eveningwear capsule collection for Pre-Fall called p.m. as in “post meridiem” – or afternoon for you and us. Then there was the announcement that H&M is releasing an early drop for its upcoming designer collaboration with couturier and tulle master Giambattista Valli. Now joining this growing bandwagon of festive capsule collections is Miu Miu which just launched a party-centric line called Ceremony (from $350).

Faille cady midi dress, $2,940

Metal hair clip with crystals, $350

Spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and bags, the 52-piece collection takes the brand’s signature schoolgirl-meets-utilitarian aesthetic to party territory with plenty of crystals and sequins. Among the standout pieces are a Jackie O-style jacket festooned with sequins and Harajuku-ish chunky sandals that get a sophisticated treatment in satin and crystal embellishments.
Admittedly, these pieces are not the kind of outfits that scream Met Gala red carpet. Rather, they’rebut more of what we’d imagine It girl and model Georgia May Jagger would wear to the after party. Incidentally, Jagger appears in an irreverent fashion editorial lensed by American photographer Emma Craft who is known for her Lolita-inspired images and serving us plenty of wardrobe inspiration. Now all you need is an invite to one badass party.
