DKNY’s streetwear-inspired collection showcased the poncho as a fashionable cover-up: Sheer, with contrast panelling and paired with sports bras, they gave the typically boring silhouette a sexy spin.
Elsewhere, Sportmax turned the poncho into a more louche design, splashing graphic patterns on them and making the fit loose and billowy.

And despite the more modern interpretations, there were also others that retained the poncho’s traditional colour (aka yellow) and shape. Anteprima’s take came with a sporty, youthful vibe, while Lacoste’s take – a glossy, translucent version – looked like a more upscale version of the original.
