Whatever Miuccia Prada does will be watched closely and followed by the industry. So you can be assured that the Multiple Views Spring/Summer 2021 virtual event streaming tonight will be capturing plenty of eyeballs.
Starting at 8pm Singapore time, the event replaces for the Spring/Summer 2021 menswear runway show which would have taken place in Milan had it not been for the coronavirus pandemic. And like every menswear showing, Prada will include a preview of the women’s pre-collection looks (Cruise 2021 season) in the mix.
While the title of this co-ed event – Multiple Views – sounds like a meta take on how the show will be viewed simultaneously by a multitude of viewers across the globe, there is another reason why that name is fitting. The collection will also be presented through five different filmic chapters that are lensed by Prada’s posse of collaborators. The five bringing their POVs to the Prada universe are: filmmaker Terence Nance, artist Martine Syms, and the photographers Joanna Piotrowska, Juergen Teller and Willy Vanderperre.
