German sportswear giant Puma has just unveiled its newest collection inspired by ballet known as the Puma En Pointe collection. Unlike its usual sportier silhouettes, the brand has now tapped on the creativity of the New York City Ballet dancers to create a range of sneakers that are prettier and more feminine than its past collections.
The collection showcases linear elements, wide strapping and woven details pulled from ballet techniques such as long lines, dynamic flexibility and powerful movement. The structures are also created by pleating rib textures and buoyant fabrics. Metal details mixed with shine and sporty trims help to emphasise motion. The sneakers are also made of a lightweight material and come in the prettiest of pinks that will appeal to girly girls.
As a nod to streetstyle, this new pair of trainers features open mesh inserts to increase breathability. A high-top bootie and lockdown strap offer a supportive fit and the layer of satin on its upper lends a feminine appeal.
Inspired by dance, this features a sock-like upper and a dynamic flex grove, giving you the freedom to create movement. Incorporating the brand’s Ignite technology, this lightweight shoe offers women comfort and support in a stylish silhouette.
This trainer has all the qualities of the original model but with soft satin touches. The brand’s Ignite foam provides superior comfort and stability. It also consists of an EVA midsole, which gives you flexibility and full ground contact.
