What goes on within a week in the sneaker scene is akin to the entire season in terms of designer It bags. The shoe drops occur at such high speed that you’ll miss a cavalcade of fresh kicks hitting the shelves in just the blink of an eye.
For Puma alone, they’re set to launch two new iterations of existing styles — the Suede 50 and Cali — in the coming week and the later part of the year. The former, a collab with Mattel’s Barbie; unabashedly girly in its fuchsia and black colourway, and oversized bow on the heel. The latter offers up a refreshed edition of the OG California, a pared-back kick that’s re-emerged as a thick-soled court sneaker in 2018 — staying true to its classical veneer but, monikered the Cali.
The final release is an archival model: the Cell Endura trainer. First released in 1998, its chunky silhouette is telling of a ’90s origin, but its 2018 homecoming sees it right at home with fashion’s soft spot for dad sneakers. Browse below.
