FAVOURITE ARTIST “Elmgreen & Dragset (a Danish-Norwegian artist duo known for their humorous critiques on modern life). I’ve been a long-time fan of their pieces – I saw their latest work Van Gogh’s Ear when I was in New York and thought it was really clever.”

RECOMMENDED MUSEUM “I like to go to the museums in whichever country I visit. The Tate Modern (in London) is the one I visit most. I love its range of works as well as its architecture.”
LAST ALBUM HE LISTENED TO “That would be Sia’s latest, This is Acting. I really like the honesty in her lyrics.”

SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE “I wear Comme des Garcons 2 Man on a daily basis; I just love the way it smells.”

RESTAURANT PICKS “It really depends on whether you want to do expensive or something affordable. Personally, I go to Chinatown a lot, but there’s also The Duck & Rice in Soho, which I frequent for its authentic Asian food.”
NEIGHBOURHOOD to know “One of my favourite neighbourhoods in London is Shoreditch – it’s close to my office and where I live (he’s just bought a house). It’s a very vibrant, young and artistic part of London.”
GO-TO SHOPPING HAUNTS “I always shop at Selfridges – it’s such a beautiful store.”

MUST-HAVE LOOK FROM S/S ’17 “I particularly like look 17 (above centre) – it feels new, but still retains a strong Self-Portrait identity. It’s femininity with an attitude. We are evolving; we are trying out different fabrications. We have such a strong signature with lace, (but) I always want to bring in something new. This season, we explored masculine tailoring and mixed it with Self-Portrait’s signature romantic style.”
