One’s an It girl who’s walked countless shows at top Fashion Weeks. The other’s into unconventional hair colours and sexy, slinky gowns. Put the two together and you get one of the hottest capsule collections yet for British high street label Topshop.
Just last week, Kendall (right) and Kylie set up their own Instagram profile – @kendallandkylie – and featured photos of them looking at clothing designs on paper. (Judging by the 235,000 followers they’ve amassed since launching the account, everyone wants to know what they’re cooking up.) Before that happens, though, here’s something else to get excited about: their tie-up with British high-street label Topshop, which launches worldwide on June 3.
In this first-ever collaboration, the pair have designed a 15-piece capsule collection that reflects their laidback, sunny-Californian aesthetic. Says Kendall in an interview with Style.com: “We’re trying to bring the L.A. vibe to Topshops all around the world… (the clothes all have) that sunshine feel.”
What to expect: Polyester floral printed jumpsuits, maxi dresses and sheer wide-leg trousers; cotton sweaters with cheeky slogans; floaty blouson tops as well as distressed denim shorts – what the sisters describe as pieces that “would fit perfectly into our wardrobes”.
While we’re not sure if this will incite the same frenzy that Swedish fast fashion label H&M’s collaboration with French luxury brand Balmain caused two weeks ago when Kendall and fellow model Jourdan Dunn debuted looks from the collection at the Billboard Music Awards, we’re pretty certain we’ll be seeing more of the Jenners’ own casual-meets-sexy influence in fashion. $66.90-$179, available in limited quantities only at Topshop’s Ion Orchard and Knightsbrige stores from June 3.
