Five of our favourite releases to snag before they're gone.
Black tie doesn’t necessarily need to be staid and uptight affairs — actually most dress codes these days are fluid for that matter. Which explains why Christian Louboutin took a more relaxed and upbeat route for its new Black Tie collection of occasion-ready shoes and bags.   The pieces, now in stores, include classic silhouettes like T-bar sandals, booties with a larger-than-life cabaret influence. Cue the Goyetta pumps which are adorned with glass pearls arranged in the shape of seashells. For something cheekier, the Naked Bow T-bar pumps sport bows as a nod to the gentlemen’s wardrobe. A NEW CULT WATCH BRAND TO KNOW
Leica has forged a cult following for its sleek and quality cameras. Now, it wants to do the same with truly dope timepieces too with its first ever watch collection in collaboration with German high-precision manufacturer Lehmann Prazision.   The two manual-winding models in this debut collection — the Leica L1 and the GMT-equipped Leica L2 — boast an aesthetic that borrows heavily from the brand’s M series of cameras. The round ruby set into the crown is a nod to the brand’s iconic red dot logo. Meanwhile, the power reserve indicator is similar to that of a gauge found on the light meter made for the M3 rangefinder.  Both watches also boast an elegant patented push-piece crown and zero-reset seconds.   The watches won’t hit stores till 2019 but you can already view them at the brand’s Raffles City boutique. The price has not been fixed but be ready to fork out five digits and more considering how they are retailing in Europe from 10,000 euros (S$15,600). STYLE SPY
Looking for a quick way to segue into the cool New Wave influence in fashion right now? Just head to the pop-up of indie Italian eyewear label Retrosuperfuture at Gallery & Co. The brand has released two conceptual designs dubbed the X and Z which will be a hit for those who love statement cool accessories.   The X features wide oval lenses with sturdy metal rims for stronger support and distinctively curved temples. Meanwhile, the Z is an angular style with rectangular lenses that are paired with the same sleek acetate temples. A DREAM STATE
We know Diane Von Furstenberg as a free spirit and someone who knows how to wind down. She baths with oils from Marrakech souks. She meditates and counts Bhutan and the Himalayas as her favourite travel destinations. And oh, she has a canopy over her bed because “it is like sleeping in a tent, which is very fitting since I am such a nomad”.   So when it comes to designing a range of sleepwear, the designer knows the best inspiration can be found in the starry skies at night. Called the Zodiac Collection, the selection of pyjamas and scarves features constellations of the different astrological signs drawn by her friend and artist Konstantin Kakanias. Made of soft silks, the only word to describe these pieces are dreamy. CAT POWER
If the felines on these Miu Miu knits seem familiar, that’s because we grew up watching them on TV. For its holiday capsule collection, the brand has launched a series of Shetland wool knits emblazoned with images of cats from retro cartoons and animations.   Choose from various cat creature cute to cuddly to cheeky and mean cat characters that include Marie from The Aristocats (1970), Dinah from Alice in Wonderland (1951) and Snowball II, the cat that replaced The Simpsons’ (1990) first family cat, Snowball.
