Her personal take on style

“I’ll wear anything that I feel good in. I’m so used to wearing costumes and dressing up as other people that I haven’t quite decided on a specific look. Some days I love crazy prints, and on other days, monochrome outfits. Comfort is definitely the most important though. Otherwise, I find myself fussing with my clothes and I can’t focus on what I’m doing.”

Wardrobe essentials

“Loose dresses, slouchy pants, simple tees, heels and boots.”

Latest splurge

“A Kenzo backpack because there were flying tigers on it. I love tigers, so I couldn’t resist.”

Go-to labels

“I like how (Singapore designer) Max.Tan’s clothes are easy to wear but still make you look dressed up. I also love the lines at Collate the Label; feminine but not fussy. I go to (local label) RÊVASSEUR for crazy prints. For boots, I like Timberland’s hardy look, but I’ve also gotten some of my favourites from Spanish label Bimba Y Lola, Topshop, and Karen Millen. My favourite heels are a really simple pair of Louboutins – I love how they elongate your legs. And I can wear my Valentino’s all day.”

Style icon

“Anyone with a sense of confidence – even if it’s just someone walking down the street in a simple outfit with no makeup on.”

Favourite shopping malls

“I love Tangs, Ion Orchard and (multi-label boutique) Superspace. I favour a wide variety of styles, so I like having lots of options – like a shopping buffet.”

Beauty must-haves

“M.A.C’s Huggable Lipcolour lipsticks: They are very hydrating and come in awesome colours. Urban Decay’s Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette is ridiculously good. Kiehl’s masks are a staple. I also like how Acuvue Define’s My Natural Shine contact lenses are totally invisible. The trend at the moment is to look very natural on TV, where no one looks like they’re wearing make-up. On shoots, wearing coloured contact lenses shouldn’t be obvious, and these make my eyes look naturally sparkly. I also do a lot of outdoor shoots, so the UV protection is a big plus.”
