The name’s Manfred Lim, but he’s better known as Myrne, the self-taught EDM DJ who got signed onto Diplo’s Mad Decent label in 2015 for his refreshingly chill-out blend of heavy bass, R&B and futuristic pop sounds. First up for 2017: his maiden Australian tour.
True to his moniker The Dapper Rapper, Mean’s our answer to Pharrell Williams, with an innate ability to give high fashion runway looks a personal edge (his favourite brands include Loewe and Raf Simons). His brand of hip-hop possesses the same playful panache – hear it on his EP By Any Means, out soon.
After a golden year, Nathan Hartono breaks into the Chinese market with an EP on which he not only croons in English and Mandarin, but also plays producer and songwriter.
Electro outfit Darker Than Wax commemorated its fifth anniversary last December with a limited edition tie-up with Casio G-Shock. Now, it’s time for Jordan Glick, Farah Azizan, Dean Chew and Daryl Chan (not pictured: Marco Weibel and Kevin Guoh) to prep for their European tour that starts in April.
