Singapore fashion labels are expanding beyond our shores. Whether it’s shoes, womenswear or womenswear, local designers prove that their designs and aesthetic are making waves with buyers and shoppers alike.
From one store at Amara Shopping Centre in 1996, siblings Charles and Keith Wong have built a business that now has 500 stores worldwide, with flagships in Beijing, Dubai and Seoul.
The brand has expanded its offerings to include bags, sunglasses and even a range of shoes and bags for kids.
Danelle Woo launched Aijek in 2010. Aimed at the modern woman, the style is effortless and versatile. The brand has over 40 stockists which include Neiman Marcus, ASOS and Revolve.
In March 2018, the brand evolved to include a Aijek Bridal collection.

Launched in 2009, Benjamin Barker focuses on evergreen classics designs and sharp shirts made for the Asian frame. Now, the brand has standalone stores in Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Los Angeles and Phnom Penh.
The brand has gone into the food business, with the recent opening of the Benjamin Barker Cafe at Cineleisure Orchard.
