What does it take to escape the perpetual cabin fever we’ve been experiencing lately? May we suggest a little dose of wanderlust? For Parisian fashion label Maje, that sense of escape is evident in its seven-piece summer capsule collection which is inspired by the iconic postcard-worthy imagery of American high-society photographer Slim Aarons.

Titled Jet, Set and Match, Aarons’ vignettes of the glamorous lives of the fashionable summer crowd of yesterday caught the eye of the Maje’s artistic director Judith Milgrom. Of particular interest were the depictions of poolside lounging by way of Villa Nirvana (1971) and Swimmer and Sunbather (1971) which found themselves digitally-printed on breezy separates like oversized cotton shirts and satin mini-dresses and – no surprised here – one-piece maillots.

The line-up isn’t just for pool-side lounging though – the capsule’s elegant maxi dress and sleek sweatshirt serve up dressier options too. The Jet, Set and Match collection will be available to shop from its Marina Bay Sands store come June 2.
