Designer Elyn Wong of 10-year-old womenswear label Stolen bucked convention on Saturday, Oct 29 with a moving theatrical performance that showcased pieces from her Spring/Summer 2017 collection. A lone model, perched on a wooden chair on a raised platform, kicked off the show with a soliloquy, and once that ended, other models entered and posed with said chairs. The highlight: When a dancer entered and showed off some fluid moves centrestage, then “stripping” off her outer garment to reveal another Stolen piece beneath.
We caught up with Wong after the show and got her to spill on how she came up with the concept, her inspiration behind the 15-piece collection (now available on Zalora) and more:
