If you aren’t afraid to show some skin and love a skimpy swimsuit, pick a bikini or two from this brand that’s a favourite of Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Kourtney Kardashian. With sizes XS to XXL, and priced from $80 to $185, the sustainable pieces made from Econyl are two times more resistant to chlorine, suntan cream and oils. Known for their cheeky designs, Fae is great if you want to flaunt off all that hard work you’ve done on legs day.

#2 Monday Swimwear

It’s hard to mention swimwear and not include Devin Brugmanand Natasha Oakley, best friends who started off as bloggers with Bikini A Day. They turned their passion (and bodies) for bikinis into a business launching Monday Swimwear in 2014. Their line features more classic and iconic styles that flatter the female form but we love their attention to fit with all the different size charts for each swimwear style, and their detailed explanation of individual cuts and fit.

  1. #3 Summersalt

What we love most about Summersalt swimsuits is that they let you know how much boob support and butt coverage there is. A bonus? They’re eco-friendly and all under US$100 (S$136). With the philosophy “every body is a beach body,” the swimwear available in a generous range of sizes – they took over 1.5 millions body measurements from 10,000 women to inform the Summersalt fit – is designed for the woman who likes to make a statement. Full of good vibes and body positivity, the bikinis and swimsuits in modern cuts are available in a rainbow of colours.

Trust a Brazilian brand to know what swimwear styles women want to wear at and away from the beach. With minimalist lines, architectural elements and sophisticated cuts, all of their lycra swimwear has UV50+ protection. Now onto their fifth season, Haight is stocked at Net-A-Porter, MatchesFashion and Revolve. Look to them for asymmetrical designs, sporty and convertible options, which offer great versatility for beach vacations.

No debate, supermodel Candice Swanepoel looks good in a bikini so naturaly, she launched her own line of sustainable swimwear. This season 50 per cent of TROPIC OF C swimsuits are made using Econyl®, a green bi-elastic techno-fabric made from 100 per cent recycled material from discarded fishing nets and other landfill waste. To ensure comfort and flexibility, there’s a high percentage of LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ which is what gives a perfect fit and better shape retention over time. Like choosing different bikini tops and bottoms? Mix-and–match three pieces for US$190 (S$258).
