What better way to give something typically thought of as conservative a youthful zip than to rope in the fun and youthful? Launching its online store this month, Thai exotic skin specialist Suvimol sets itself apart, thanks to the millennial-meets-Gen Z Pavarodom sisters behind it. Sivanuj (or Rung), 23, handles the marketing; Bhonbhisa (Faa), 25, the men’s line and distribution; and Javamond (Fonn), 27, the design with their mother, Pat, who started the brand five years ago.

Besides making precious skins more wallet-friendly (prices range from US$950-$4,500, or S$1,280-$6,080, in part because the family owns crocodile farms that also supplies to major luxury brands), the label’s USP is its trendy elegance. All 10 styles are classic geometric shapes reinvented in bold, fashionable hues and colour blocking. “Classic” shades include electric blue and fuchsia; seasonal ones, metallic pink and emerald.
