In the second edition of our new weekly column on local tastemakers and their fashion indulgences, we speak to Linda Hao, DJ/model/clotheshorse and founder of quirky fashion label Yesah.
Favourite shopping spot
“Melbourne’s weekly Camberwell Market (above). It’s a thrift market (held every Sunday morning) that’s really fun because I like finding items with stories behind them. I keep all the vintage items I buy even though they’re secondhand, because they are made of certain textiles not commonly used today, like silk that’s especially thin and cooling.”
Latest fashion buy
“I bought a snake print bucket hat from Bimba Y Lola last week, not only because of the print, but also because it’s lightweight and was on sale for only $22.”
Label she’s into now
“Jacquemus – the French brand’s artsy fun aesthetic (cue their beach holiday-inspired Spring Summer ’15 collection above) is something that I’m always trying to achieve. I also like how it’s creating real wearable art collections!”
