Tyler The Creator's Latest Converse x GOLF le FLEUR* Collection Is For The Colour-Shy

In a switch-up from his previous collabs with Converse, the American rapper's latest sneaker drop features a little less colour without scrimping on cool

Tyler The Creator’s been extremely busy as of late. The American rapper has copped a chart-topping album, an ice-cream flavour (Splendid Ice Cream, anyone?) and multiple drops throughout his long-standing stint at Converse. The latest Tyler The Creator x Converse collaboration is set to keep him on his hot streak of unconventional, one-of-a-kind designs with the American footwear company.

Dubbed the ‘Color Block’ pack, the drop features two pairs as part of Golf Le Fleur’s summer collection. The capsule line-up offers Tyler’s signature Golf Le Fleur sneaker (notably, a twist on Converse’s classic One Star) but with a brand new look. In what seems to be the most “minimal” during his time with the brand, the ‘Color Block’ pack features two colour variations – racing red and kelly green.

Converse diehards can expect all the trimmings of the rapper’s off-kilter personality, but with a more wearable approach. The pack features two variations, both with a clean white leather base and accompanying colour-stitching. And as with all things Golf, each shoe also features an intricate cross-stitching of the brand’s distinct flower logo. Topped off with a chunky, block-coloured sole (in either red or green), the pack makes for a great retro addition to any Converse collection. If the shoes aren’t quite throwback enough for you, the capsule also includes accompanying French terry sweatsuits (inspired by vintage Converse digs).  Browse the gallery above for a closer look.
