#1: Ashish
London-based brand Ashish somehow managed to make our Dad’s old tennis shoes look cool again. This pair is in quite a neutral shade of blue and white, which makes it the perfect accompaniment to a louder outfit. Might we suggest some bright colours and sequins?

#2: Cristiano Burani
We are not sure how to classify this pair of shoes from Cristiano Burani – is it a sandal? A loafer? A sneaker? Maybe it’s a hybrid of all three (or more), but what we do know is that it’s ultra-chic. The ridged soles give it a slightly sporty look, but the pointed toe lends a touch of sophistication. Pair with a simple tee + jeans outfit to let this shoe stand out.

#3: Dolce & Gabbana
It’s time to bring on the bling – over at Dolce & Gabbana, bejeweled shoes ruled the runway. There were the more princessy pumps, but our focus here is on the sneakers. The bold red, white and black combination, along with the slogans, give off an athletic vibe, which nicely contrasts with the opulent jewels. Elevate your sportswear-inspired look with this pair.

#4: Gucci
Fancy going for a hike? Well, if you do, you can now look stylish doing so, with Gucci‘s show-stopping sneakers that stomped down the runway. These chunky shoes are crisscrossed with crystals, featuring the brand name in the classic SEGA font. Pair with berms and a classic white shirt for that stylish-safari-tourist look.

#5: Marques’Almeida
Reach for the stars in these platform sneakers from British fashion label Marques’Almeida. The all-white gives this pair a sleek and minimal look, though we’re not sure how to balance in these. Nevertheless, this is the perfect opportunity to show off your gams – rock these sky-high shoes with a miniskirt.

#6: N°21
It can’t get any more luxurious than this – putting all our normal Converses and Supergas to shame is N°21‘s sneakers, which came with gold soles. Go hard or go home and don this for an evening out partying in your favourite LBD (bonus: your feet will stay comfy all night long).

#7: Stella Jean
Italian fashion designer Stella Jean was inspired by the Olympics for this collection, so the sporty aesthetic definitely shines through. This pair of green sneakers, with its frills/fur/fringe (? reminds us of pom poms though), is a sure head-turner. We think it’d look good with a fitted pencil skirt.
