Spring/Summer 2017

At the Spring/Summer 2017 fashion shows, designers pulled heavy influences from all things rockabilly. From fringed leather jackets to steel-toed boots and complimenting accessories that further accented the cowgirl look, cowboy-inflected collections were prominent.

But for the Fall/Winter 2017 shows, designers reinvents the old-timey trend with a modern update. Raf Simons’ debut at Calvin Klein saw the likes of the boiler suit and waist clinching belts but with a more sophisticated appeal. Tommy Hilfiger’s denim on denim ensemble was all about western chic meets modern cowgirl.

For the 1960s cowgirl look, opt for Coach’s leather and military style jackets that make for great western-inspired pieces with the kitschy embellishments and leather fringing.

These denim iterations ooze modern western vibes for an edgy yet refined look. Burberry’s jumpsuit features added details on the shoulders while Loewe’s trimmings in a light brown hue gives the jacket a western flair.
