Ennui was the brief given to the model and photographer for the check-themed fashion editorial in the current April issue of Female. It’s the perfect word to encapsulate the mood for a spread inspired by the punk spirit of this season’s masculine checks and plaids on top of a manic and rebellious approach to layering. Set against the backdrop of a verdant forest set built by photographer Gary Chew and his assistant Andrew Goh, the final result is surprisingly romantic.
