You might be familiar with cult bag brands like Mansur Gavriel and Cult Gaia which started making a name for themselves with their minimalist and artistic bag designs. Somewhere along the way, someone decided that it’d be great if brands like them created shoes too. Well, Mansur Gavriel already has a series of pared-down mules.
More recently, Cult Gaia debuted an exclusive shoe range with Net-A-Porter, which boasts a five-piece collection that includes designs with leather strips, bamboo heels, and balled heels. The good news is, these two are not the only two brands championing an artistic aesthetic in shoes. Among them is Nicholas Kirkwood and Paul Andrew who are both known for playing the sculptural and architectural cards when it comes to their shoe designs.
