You might’ve spotted Emily Ratajkowski glowing in a champagne-yellow gown at the Golden Globes recently. Well, yellow isn’t only a celebrity favourite. Instead of neutral tones and muted colours, Hermes’ Spring Summer 2017 collection trotted out pieces in the most vivid colours (read: fuchsia pink and yellow), as did other brands such as Gucci and Bottega Veneta.

Off the runway, fashion showgoers, too, were not afraid to make yellow the statement colour in their looks – whether via an oversized hoodie or wide-legged pants. How they toned down its intensity: By pairing them with monochrome pieces or attention-grabbing jewellery.

But if adding bright shades like this into your outfits takes more gumption, do it via your accessories – like the clutch and tinted sunnies this show-goer wore.
