Making an appearance on the Spring/Summer 2019 runways of Gucci, Valentino, and Tommy Hilfiger, the nostalgic print in bold or faded colourway stripes also starred on the streetstyle scene during the Fall/Winter 2019 fashion weeks and all over Instagram. Whether it’s the once cheesy rainbow stripes like Alexa Chung dons in her casual selfie to her 3.3 million followers or the pared back version in contrasting colourways (preferably in impressionably retro shades like rust orange or olive green) as seen on Instagram fashion influential Alyssa Coscarelli (@alyssainthecity), the dad stripes are here to stay for the ride because if there’s anything we’d learn by now, its that old school never gets old.
