10 Makeup Tricks To Get Ready For A Night Out
#1: To look more radiant instantly, use a blue-toned makeup base or primer.

The colour is best for brightening skin.

#2: When applying shadow with a brush or sponge, always start from the middle of your lids.

It’s the largest surface area for eye makeup and gives you more leeway for error and blending.

#3: If you tend to go heavy on your mascara and liner, switch to brown instead of black.

It looks much softer and won’t make you appear too over-done.

#4: Unless you have extremely sparse eyebrows, never pencil/colour your entire brow.

Instead, just fill in the holes and gaps. This looks much more natural and modern.

#5: Not all colour correcting bases are created equal.

A simple rule to follow: green hides red (pimples or blotchy skin), pink cancels brown (pigmentation and spots) while purple balances sallow/yellow tones.

#6: Apply your blusher at this precise spot.

A good rule of thumb is to start about two fingers from your nose.

#7: To make thin puckers look more pouty, dab on some gloss.

Dab it at the centre of your top and bottom lips (the shinier the better).

#8: Use a bronzer to hide that double chin in photos.

Just apply it to your jawline and blend. It’ll help to hide your flaw.

#9: Tap on concealer with your fingertips.

Do this instead of gliding or rubbing it in. You’ll get better and more natural coverage this way.

#10: Always apply a thin layer of balm before lipstick.

It helps to smooth the lips and allow colour pigments go on more evenly.
