While refillable beauty products are not new, the idea of reusing the packaging of your makeup and skincare products is finally seeing renewed interest as zero-waste beauty gains more traction among consumers and companies. In a recent article, the Business Of Fashion reported how refillable French beauty brand La Bouche Rouge has accumulated €10 million (S$15 million) in funding for its business.

Naturally, lipstick tubes seem to be the most popular and practical place to start for the cosmetic industry which reportedly produced about 120 billion units of packaging each year. Among the brands taking this eco-minded approach by letting customers replenish their lippies in reusable containers lately are Chanel, Hermes, Fenty Beauty and Dries Van Noten.

Ahead, we spotlight where you can shop if you’re looking at a more eco-friendly approach when it comes to your lip care ritual.
