Beauty News Of The Week: Dior's Podcast Series For Perfume Fans, Clarins' New 'Miracle' Eye Cream & An Ingredient More Hydrating Than Hyaluronic Acid
Dior has launched a new podcast series

Fans of Dior perfumes take a whiff of this news: the maison has launched a podcast series dedicated to its fragrances. Called Dior Untold, the series will delve into the origins story behind different fragrances at the house with commentary provided by its nose Francois Demachy. To kick things off, the ‘For The Love of Flowers’ episode explores the different floral notes used in scents such as the iconic J’Adore to the sweet and feminine Miss Dior. Catch the series on www.dior.com, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcast and Soundcloud.

The Clarins Total Eye Lift is made for everyone

Eye creams are essential in any skincare routine since the skin around our peepers are the first to show signs of ageing. Launching August 3, what makes this new Clarins eye cream ($130) a standout is that it is suitable for all ages and skin types, and adopts a holistic approach to eye care. It does not just target fine lines and wrinkles, it also revitalises the look of tired peepers, smooths eye contours and limits the accumulation of water to treat puffiness and dark circles in purportedly 60 seconds.

It does so with its superior formula made out of 94 per cent natural-origin plant ingredients such as organic harungana extract, which promotes collagen synthesis and improves skin’s regeneration. Additionally, vitamins and peptides are infused to aid in strengthening lashes. Our ProTip when using the product is to gently warm up the formula with your fingertips and start applying from the inner corner of your eyes to the lower and upper eyelids.

Armani Beauty expands its Luminous Silk Range with a multi-purpose concealer

If you are a huge fan of the brand’s Luminous Silk Foundation, its newest concealer will get your seal of approval. The Luminous Silk Multi Purpose Concealer ($60) aims to not only cover up imperfections but also helps to highlight and add a luminous sheen to your skin. It is also enriched with glycerin and vitamin E for long-lasting hydration and comfortable wear throughout the day. The concealer’s caffeine ingredient targets dark eye circles and reduces puffiness while soft-focus pearls allow for a smooth, second-skin effect. This beauty workhorse comes in six different shades and is available at www.tangs.com and the brand’s phone delivery platform.

IDS Clinic reopens

PSA: Aesthetic clinics can receive patients once again now that the circuit-breaker is over. One spot which has confirmed its reopening is homegrown establishment IDS Clinic. Do note that it is only receiving appointments for patients suffering from chronic skin conditions such as severe acne, severe pigmentation and inflammatory skin conditions like eczema. Safety measures like temperature screening as well as travel and health declarations will be done prior to entry. Patients and doctors will also have to abide by safe distancing measures with frequent sanitisation of hands. For all other aesthetic treatments that don’t fit the bill above, just remember that teleconsultations are still up and running at idsclinic.com/tele-consulting.

This new Japanese skincare range takes hydration very, very seriously
image

We are always emphasising the importance of hydration and one key ingredient that is essential for this function is hyaluronic acid. Hada Labo has launched a skincare range that boasts an ingredient known as Kouji rice extract which it claims goes one better than hyaluronic acid: its moisture levels are said to be higher than that of hyaluronic acid and collagen. Obtained through a fermentation process, Kouji rice extracts are rich in minerals, amino acids and vitamins which aim to hydrate, brighten and plump up complexions. The collection will be available at www.watsons.com.sg from June 18 June and comprises a Cleansing Foam ($19.90), Essence ($45.90), Day Cream ($47.90) and Night Cream ($49.90).
